Hospital Radio

Hospital Radio is a registered charity and a member of the National Association of Hospital Broadcasting (HBA)

The Society is staffed entirely by volunteers and is totally self supporting, receiving no funding from either Central or Local Government, the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust or any other body. We are dependent on private donations and fund raising to keep our service “on air”

Hospital Radio volunteers provides music, news and entertainment directly to the bedsides in the Great Western Hospital. Hospital Radio also has a regular visiting service to the patients during their stay in hospital.

Our members strongly believe that for patients, hearing their favourite piece of music and a friendly voice at their bedside can contribute to their wellbeing and recovery. The members of Hospital Radio are very keen to become more involved with the Great Western Hospital.
