The Cashiers Office provide Fare and Mileage Reimbursements.

We are on Level 2 of the Great Western Hospital near the Children’s Unit.

 

Hours

Mon – Thurs: 9.30am to 1.00pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm

Friday: 9.30am to 1pm and 1.30 pm to 4.00pm

Fare and Mileage Reimbursement

You may be entitled to help with your travel costs if you attend a hospital or other place to receive NHS treatment under the care of a consultant and you or your partner are in receipt of:

  • Income Support
  • Income based Job Seekers allowance
  • Guranteed Pension Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Hold an HC2 or HC3 certificate
 
Each time a claim is made, proof will need to be provided of qualifying benefit, appointment attended, plus tickets or receipts for any travel.  

The cashiers can also

  • Give change
  • Accept payment for private patients' invoices by cash, cheque or most credit and all debit cards. (Card payments can also be made over the phone between 10am and 4pm - Tel 01793 604466 /5.)
  • Accept donations for the hospital's charitable funds
  • Accept deposits for breast pumps (scbu)
  • Accept payments for maternity rooms
  • Accept payment for passport photo and baby's first portrait on behalf of Medical Photography
