Wiltshire Breast Screening Service - The Team

There is a small dedicated team of staff who work within the Wiltshire Breast Screening Service. These include:

Consultant Radiologists. There are three consultant radiologists who work as part of our team. They are doctors who have specialised in mammography. Each mammogram is read twice by two independent readers before a result is given.

Radiographers. All our radiographers have undertaken post-graduate training in mammography. Some have also successfully completed further qualifications in film reading and breast examination.

Imaging Assistants. Our imaging assistants help us with our clinics and looks after our processing equipment.

Administration Officers. Our clerical officers work behind the scenes to ensure that appointments are sent out and that you receive your results promptly. They will change your appointment to a more convenient time if necessary.
