The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (formerly Swindon and Marlborough NHS Trust) Board, having undertaken an internal review of systems and performance in relation to the Core Standards for Better Health for the 12 month period from 1st April 2009 to 31st March 2010, considers its performance to be compliant with no significant lapses identified.

The information within the report summarises the detailed assessments of each of the individual standards. The CQC Inspection Guides have directly influenced this work. The work has been reviewed by the Clinical Governance Committee to ensure that it is an accurate and contemporaneous assessment.
