Foundation Trust Consultation

Consultation

Before we submit our final proposals to the Department of Health on how we plan to operate as an NHS Foundation Trust, we have a responsibility to consult with members of the public, our staff, local authorities and all other interested parties (stakeholders) on our draft proposals.

Results of Consultation

The Consultation period ran from 9th July 2007 to 30th September 2007 and produced these results:

The Goals of the Consultation were:

To gain your views and suggestions on:

Our Strategic direction as a Foundation Trust

How we will operate as a Foundation Trust

A new name for our organisation

To provide a broad view of the issues surrounding Foundation Trust status and outline the benefits and issues for the community and our staff.

To enable us to develop the final proposals to operate as an NHS Foundation Trust, taking into account the views and opinions of our public, our staff and other interest parties..

The consultation was not a vote on whether we should become an NHS Foundation Trust but to seek views on our plans to become one.
